Synopsis: Mya is a hopeless romantic and she plans to make someone the perfect wife one day. But after countless breakups and meaningless one night stands, she's given up on hope of finding love and is sure she will grow old alone. 
 Then she meets Gavin. Gavin is sexy, rich, and drives her crazy in bed, but it's his brother, Derek that Mya dreams about at night. Torn between the two brothers she knows she has to make a choice, but eventually she takes her best friend's advice and decide to date both brothers, after all men date more than one woman at a time, so why can't she.   Mya is having fun playing the game and playing the field. But when playing the game of love, you have to be willing to lose because someone is always bound to get hurt and the consequences can be deadly.

Okay so my last post was about Edward Cullen, which got me to thinking about the Twilight Saga and how much I miss looking forward to a new movie coming out each year. In terms of book series, this one is my favorite, hands down. I wish it were possible to keep the story going somehow but I know all good things (and book series) have to come to an end eventually...I'll always have the memories. #TwilightSaga #EdwardCullen #vampirewhore 

My #MCM is the one and only Edward Cullen. I fell in love the very first time I saw Twilight and yes...I know he's a fictional character in a book but I don't care, I still wanted him to come and bite me, or at least stare at me with that intense gaze like he does Bella. OMG is it October yet??? I read this book many years ago so I'll have to read it again to refresh my memory because I've read like, hundreds of other books since then but I do remember that it was one of those books that leave you with your mouth open in shock and now there will be a movie...I, for one, can't wait ESPECIALLY since William Levy will be in it. That man...my my my!!!

This man is still so sexy, his voice alone just draws you in. He is the true definition of a music icon and on this months issue of Essence magazine.

I used to keep a notebook and when I'd get mad or upset, I'd take my pen out and write little poems to express how I was feeling. I was at work one night bored and this little poem came to mind:

So he doesn’t work or take me out,
doesn’t spend time with me and is always out and about.
With other women, he spends his time,
He constantly asks me for money but when I need his help,
He doesn’t offer me a dime…
But at least I have a man.

He never answers me when I call
But at night he keeps me climbing those walls.
Sexing me crazy, he drives me wild
But in front of his friends, he treats me like a child.
He’s never around to hold me at night
And if I ask, “Where you been?” it always leads to a fight…
But at least I have a man.

I’ve decided I’ve had enough, I’m going to leave
So I told him, “I’m done,” go and do as you please.
Mad at the thought of not having me around,
He grabbed me by the neck and threw me down to the ground.
With his hands around my neck, I knew I was through,
After choking me he got up and said, “Baby I love you!”
Heartbroken over this man that I love so much,
Even after all the violence, I still yearn for his touch.
Other people say leave him, run as fast as you can…
But I still love him even though they don’t understand…
At least I have a man.

The last printed issue of Jet, now in stores and newsstands. I used to have a small collection of these and I don't know about y'all, but I'm going to miss this little magazine that had so much to offer. I understand trying to keep up with what's current and almost everything is digital these days but some of us fairly older folks still like actual books and magazines.
